The State Monitoring Cell (SMC) seized 149.50 grams of cocaine worth Rs 1.5 crore from a Nigerian woman in the city.
The woman resides on Mumbai’s suburban Mira Road.
SMC inspector CH Panara stated that they had information that a woman would be driving to Surat in an automobile to carry cocaine from Mumbai.
Based on the tip, SMC sleuths monitored the national highway near Navsari and intercepted the automobile.
When questioned, the woman disclosed that Elder, a Nigerian man, had told her to collect the contraband from Emanuel in Mumbai and deliver it to someone in Kadodara.
The woman admitted to delivering drugs 10-12 times in Surat and Navsari during the last 18 months.
