Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface, has declared he remains loyal to the Bundesliga winners, despite his aborted move to Al Nassr.
The Nigerian striker’s intended move to the Saudi Pro League falls through after the team opts to sign Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán instead.
Al Nassr’s negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen for Victor Boniface were ongoing, with a Saudi delegation stationed in Germany since Monday to negotiate arrangements. However, the transaction finally failed, rendering Boniface’s plan futile.
Speaking with SportsBoom, Victor Boniface stated that such calculations do not disturb him.
His words are:
“Transfer speculations are common in football. It’s always flattering when large clubs express interest, but my concentration right now is entirely on Bayer Leverkusen.”
“A lot of calculations have happened here and there, but I enjoy playing here and want to give my all for the club. What happens in the future will happen, but for the time being, my focus is solely on helping Leverkusen achieve our objectives.”
