Police for Allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in Ogun

A man is in trouble with the police for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in Ogun Olayinka Isaac, 34, has been arrested by Ogun State Police for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in the Rounder area of Abeokuta North Local Government.

The suspect brought the adolescent into a nearby bush behind the community’s “Carry Go” area and forced her to have carnal knowledge with him.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed his arrest to DAILY POST on Monday, saying the incident happened on Thursday about 4 p.m.

Odutola stated that a member of the state’s Social Orientation and Safety Corps assisted in identifying the suspect, contacted the survivor’s mother, and informed her of the occurrence.

She stated that officers from the Ilupeju Division detained the offender and transported the survivor to the hospital for treatment.

The police spokeswoman stated that a preliminary investigation had begun, and that the case will be handed to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for additional action.

Odutola said:

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly lured the victim to the isolated area before committing the heinous act.”

“Officers from the Juvenile Welfare Centre visited the crime scene to gather evidence, and the case is now being thoroughly investigated.

“The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further action,” she informed us.
