Donald Trump, the president of the United States of America, has stated that he is unsure whether he can utilize the funds received for a prospective political campaign to run for reelection.
This is due to the constitutional restriction of two presidential terms.
Trump claimed this while speaking to Congressional Republicans in Miami on Monday: “I’ve raised a lot of money for the next race that I assume I can’t use for myself, but I’m not 100 percent sure.”
The businessman, who upset Kamala Harris in last year’s election, continued, “I believe I am not permitted to run again, but I am not certain. “Am I, Mike?” referring to the Republican House Leader, Mike Johnson.
Despite the US Constitution’s 22nd Amendment, which prohibits presidents from serving more than two terms, a Republican member recently presented a motion to modify the Constitution to allow Trump to run again.
He said:
“It will be the greatest honour of my life to serve not once, but twice—or three times or four times.”
