FG Alerts US Government Before Deporting 85 Nigerians

Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has instructed the USA to follow established procedures for expelling foreign nationals from its territory.
After Richard Mills Jr., the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, visited the ministry, Bianca made this call.

Odumegwu-Ojukwu expressed worries over the potential suspension of the U.S. Drop Box Visa System in a statement released by Magnus Eze, her special assistant on communication and new media.

She emphasized how many Nigerians in the United States are experiencing financial and emotional hardship as a result of the Trump administration’s indications that it would deport specific groups of immigrants.

What she said:

“We want commitments from the new U.S. administration. Deportation should be handled with dignity if it is necessary.

“Will they just be loaded onto planes and sent back, or will they be given time to manage their assets?”
